At Australian Professional Recruiters Group "APRG" we are committed to protecting the privacy of the information you submit to us, and will only use that information for purposes we have agreed to through your communication with us.
How we collect and use your personal information
APRG collect data on you through a variety if means, including direct registration, through our website, emails, telephone or fax. This information would generally entail your name, address, telephone number, email address, employment history and any other information you may disclose on your resume such as referee details. In order to best service your needs we may also ask information such as your career aspirations, and what working environments you feel you work best in. We may also collect sensitive information about you that relates to your health, and any conditions that may affect your ability to perform your work duties. We may also enquire as to any previous criminal convictions.
Third Party information
We may also collect information about you from a third party, i.e. nominated referees, test result feedback or information regarding your job performance.
Why we collect your information
APRG collects information about you for the main purpose of finding you suitable employment. The information collected allows APRG to:
- More effectively assess your suitability for a particular position. Once this is assessed your information (with your permission) will be on forwarded to potential employers. These third parties are also required to comply with Privacy Legislation.
- Assist you in performing your best when meeting or working with an employer
- Producing market information reports, i.e. salary surveys, (this is aggregated with other information) and is not presented as individual findings.
- To notify you of any potential opportunities, events or new service offerings.
Who do we disclose your information to?
- Potential employers (for temporary and permanent opportunities)
- Testing organisations (i.e. competency or psychometric tests)
- Nominated Referees
- Workers compensation representatives
- APRG related entities
- Educational or vocational organisations in order to verify your qualifications
- To the Australian Federal Police in instances where a criminal history check is required to be conducted
Do I have access to my details?
Should you wish to gain access to the information we have collected about you we require a request in writing. We will endeavour to provide you with this information within a fair and reasonable timeframe. An administration fee may be payable to cover the cost of supplying the information to you.
How do I keep my personal information up to date?
It is important that we are able to contact you should any suitable opportunities or relevant events arise. Please contact us should your details change. We may also contact you from time to time to ensure your information is updated.
Information security and storage
Your personal information may be stored either as hard or electronic copy. APRG have security procedures in place to protect your personal information to ensure it is used only as intended. Authorised APRG staff, contractors and suppliers have access to your information however they have agreed to maintain the confidentiality of such information.
