11/2006 - Retention, the Strategic Consideration in Business Today


The second annual "APRG Local Business Leaders Forum" was held on the 24th of November, 2006.

APRG hosted a luncheon at The Brisbane Club with 65 client guests. Dr Lisa Bradley, Head of QUT's School of Management presented at the lunch on "Retention, the strategic consideration in business today".

10/2006 - The Annual APRG Local Business Leaders Forum is on Again


In today's marketplace, if you are thinking about how to maintain or achieve 'Sustained Competitive Advantage' then retention must be one of your key strategic considerations.

In keeping with adding value to APRG Clients, this years APRG Local Business Leaders Forum is all about retention. Furthermore, APRG is pleased to continue our association with Queensland University of Technology (QUT). Professor Evan Douglas, Head of the Brisbane Graduate School of Business will be presenting as keynote speaker.

The lunch time event has been set for the 24th of November 2006.


09/2006 - Sally Roper Promoted to Practice Director


As a result of the continued growth of Australian Professional Recruiters Group, Sally Roper has been appointed as Practice Director of APRG Banking Recruitment (QLD), with effect from 2nd October 2006.

Sally replaces Robert Bromage who will be taking a greater focus on development of the franchise network, growth of the Financial Services (QLD) practice and launch into the Queensland accounting market place.

Sally is now the first recruiter to partake in APRG's franchisee development and mentoring program.

05/2006 - APRG Launches a Financial Services Specialist Practice in QLD


APRG welcomes our newest local recruitment specialist, Frans Koenders to the Financial Services Recruitment (QLD) practice.

With a career spanning 12 years including having led teams of up to 12 staff, Frans has held positions within call centre, recruitment and superannuation administration. Over the last three years, he has worked with a leading industry superannuation fund and a trustee company focusing on Self Managed Super Funds (SMSF) and small Australian Prudential Regulatory Authority (APRA), funds. Frans is Association of Superannuation Funds of Australian (ASFA) qualified and has completed several units towards the Diploma of Financial Services. At APRG, Frans recruits in the areas of superannuation, insurance and financial planning.


04/2006 - APRG Banking Recruitment (QLD) Welcomes a New Team Member


APRG welcomes our newest local recruitment specialist, Aline Barnett to the Banking Recruitment (QLD) practice.

Aline has six years current experience as a human resources practitioner in both the hospitality and financial services industries. Her experience takes in recruitment & selection, training, Occupational Health and Safety, workplace rehabilitation and general HR management. At APRG, Aline looks after both permanent and temporary recruitment in the areas of customer service, loans processing, collections and administration.

03/2006 - APRG Upgrades Offices Due to Growth


Due to business growth, APRG have moved to Level 6, 247 Adelaide Street, Brisbane effective March 21, 2006. The new premises are larger and have been fit out to the functional requirements of a recruitment business and have additional capacity to allow for planned continued growth.


03/2006 - Australian Professional Recruiters Group P/L Appoints a 3rd Director


Carl Lawback was appointed as Director in addition to existing Directors, Robert Bromage & Scott Wiseman.

Mr Lawback's accounting and business background will compliment the existing board's experience and provide additional perspective to the board's decision making and governance capabilities.


02/2006 - APRG Brisbane Banking Changes Name


In recognition of a Queensland wide focus by the Brisbane Banking Practice, the practice has changed business name to APRG Banking Recruitment (QLD). Although recruitment activities are predominantly focused in the Brisbane banking market, the team has successfully recruited positions on the Gold Coast, Sunshine Coast and Regional Queensland.
