Our Story

"Start recruiting from day one"

The concept of applying the franchise business model to the recruitment industry was inspired by Robert Bromage, Managing Director. Entering the recruitment industry in 1997 after an eight year banking career, Robert worked for a global recruitment company with great success for many years building their business significantly. The offer of an equity position with a smaller niche recruitment company enticed Robert to accept a position as their General Manager responsible for consulting operations, new client development/tendering, process/procedural improvement and quality assurance.

Choosing to break away from the confines of working as an 'employee' in June 2004, Robert embarked on the development of Australian Professional Recruiters Group with the motivation of creating ownership opportunities for both experienced recruiters and those looking for a career in recruitment.

The innovative application of a franchise business model to the recruitment industry grew from Robert's conversations with consultants who found that like him, they had put all their efforts into building someone else a successful business without the opportunity for ownership, control or the ability to enjoy greater ongoing financial returns.

The franchise business model gives specialist recruiters and/or industry experienced professionals the platform from which they are able to achieve business ownership, while being supported by a proven back office infrastructure.

The planning for Australian Professional Recruiters Group commenced in July 2004 and the business commenced trading in February 2005 with the launch of the first practice in Brisbane.
